Please join us at our first Harvest Festival for the Southside Community Farmers’ Market.  Celebrate the  season this coming Tuesday, October 24th from 2 to 6 pm at the parking lot of the Roseburg Senior Center.

The event is free and open to the public.

Kids can come get a free Halloween pumpkin to paint and make some other festive decorations to take home.

You can play big versions of some of your favorite games:  Jenga, Connect 4 & Kerplunk, as well as play a modern-day version of bobbing for apples, without the water.

Carve the best pumpkin and get a chance to win a cash prize of $50.  Just bring your already carved pumpkin to the Farmers’ Market on Tuesday from 2 to 6 pm.  We will take a picture of it to display, and members of the community will vote to decide the winner. The winner will be announce on Halloween, which will be the final day of the Community Farmers’ Market for the season.

There BBQ will feature 2B Angus beef burgers, Brosi’s corn on the cobb, and some baked beans that can be purchased for $5 or $3 for kids.  You can also try a slider for $2.50 of locally raised grass feed and finished beef.

You can also sample Laurelwood Coffee, locally produced olive oil from Rivers Ranch and other vendor offerings.

There will only be one Farmers’ Market day after this one.  The our inaugural season will be over.  Come join the fun, taste some great food, and help us celebrate the great harvest Douglas County has to offer.
